DASHER – The Georgia Christian Generals are seeking to extend their newfound winning momentum this Friday night, October 9, 2026, as they travel to face Fullington Academy. The Generals, based in Dasher, recently found relief from a four-game losing skid, securing a 26-6 road victory over Grace Christian Academy last week.

Building on that crucial win, the Generals now confront a formidable opponent in the Fullington Academy Trojans, who boast a high-powered offense averaging over 46 points per game. Even in their two season losses, the Trojans demonstrated significant scoring capability, putting up 20 points in a 61-20 defeat by Citizens’ Christian Academy and 40 points in a 68-40 loss to David Emanuel Academy. These back-to-back losses earlier in the season snapped a five-game winning streak for Fullington.

Generals Head Coach Mike Johnson emphasized the critical need to limit the Trojans’ diverse offensive schemes. Johnson noted that the team has had to prepare for both Fullington’s empty backfield and their I-formation sets. To counter these varied attacks, the Generals have dedicated “a little extra time on defense this week,” according to Coach Johnson.

The Trojans’ defense is also expected to present a significant challenge for the Generals. Despite giving up more than 60 points in their two losses, Fullington Academy’s defense maintains an average of just 25.5 points allowed per game. Their defensive strength is further highlighted by two shutouts this season, including a dominant 63-0 victory over Crisp Academy in their most recent outing.

On the offensive side, Coach Johnson expressed confidence that the Generals are in a better position to effectively attack Fullington’s defense. This improved outlook stems from the return of key players from injury, including quarterback Anthony Alaniz and running back Brooks Mood. Johnson stated, “We finally have our guys in the right spot, so we are going to focus on what we do and see how they respond.”

The victory against Grace Christian Academy has shifted the Generals’ momentum, stopping a period of negative results. The team’s current focus is to carry forward the positive aspects from that game and to finish the season on a strong note. Coach Johnson affirmed the team's commitment to execution, stating that results will follow if the team stays unified, puts in the necessary work, and executes the game plan.
