Valdosta and Lowndes County residents looking to attend the highly anticipated rivalry game between the Lowndes Vikings and Valdosta High School, known as the Winnersville Classic, can begin purchasing tickets this week. Lowndes High School announced that ticket sales for the game, scheduled for Friday, October 30, will commence with priority access for specific groups on Monday, October 26, before opening to the general public on Tuesday, October 27.
The game will be played on Joe Wilson Field at Martin Stadium, with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. The Lowndes Vikings come into this significant Region 1-7A matchup with an impressive 8-0 overall record, having recently secured a road victory over Richmond Hill to bring their region play record to 2-0.
Tickets are priced at $10 each when purchased with cash, or $11 if opting to use the GoFan credit option. All seats for the event are reserved. The sales process will follow the established Lowndes Athletic Ticket Priority system.
On Monday, October 26, sales will open exclusively for Touchdown Club members. These members may purchase tickets according to their priority level, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meeting for this priority purchasing will take place in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 at the Board of Education Building, located on Norman Drive. Members should use the two exterior doors facing the parking lot to enter. Touchdown Club officers will be present at this location to organize members based on their priority levels.
Later on Monday evening, starting at 7:00 p.m., season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets. This allows them to acquire up to the number of reserved-seat season tickets currently held in their names. These purchases can be made at the Viking Athletic Ticket Office.
The Viking Athletic Ticket Office, which serves as the primary location for season ticket holders and the general public, is situated inside the Board of Education Building on Norman Drive. The entrance for the ticket office is located on the east end of the building, directly across from the Whistle Express Car Wash.
Tickets will become available to the general public beginning bright and early on Tuesday, October 27, at 7:00 a.m. These general public sales will also be conducted at the Viking Athletic Ticket Office, following the same location details as for season ticket holders. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly given the high demand for the rivalry game.
