Lowndes County Sees Extensive Building and Renovation Activity on October 10

Lowndes County issued 75 building permits on Friday, October 10, 2026, indicating widespread construction, renovation, and maintenance activity across the area. The permits cover a broad spectrum of work, from major building projects and demolitions to essential electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and roofing upgrades for properties throughout Valdosta and the wider Lowndes County region.

Building permits represented a significant portion of the activity, with 14 permits issued. Cornerstone Construction & Restoration, LLC received two building permits for properties at 1306 McArthur Drive and 4 Euclid Circle. Window World of South Georgia also secured two building permits for sites at 8 Whitman Place and 2302 Riverhill Drive. Other building permits were issued to Jerry Fountain for 611 East Gordon Street, Abbco Properties, LLC for 1207 Thomwal Street, Summer Teacher for 1201 North Ashley Street, S&S Services, LLC for 208 McDougal Street, Windows USA, LLC for 2405 Orlando Drive, Gregory Perkins for 409 Blitch Street, Thorna Masonry & Remodeling for 724 Donald & 726 Avenue, D.R. Horton, Inc. for 3009 Wembley Circle, Timothy Coffey for 1604 Slater Street, McGuffey Construction, LLC for 804 Bunche Drive, MNG Construction for 2113 Meade Avenue and 1820 Claudia Circle, and Orr Roofing for 513 Old Statenville Road. Jermaine Thomas also received a building permit for 829 Bethune Drive.

Mechanical work was another prominent category, with 14 permits issued. Val Service Enterprises, Inc. was notably active, obtaining four mechanical permits for locations including 1010 North Toombs Street 20, 2415 Seth Place H52, 1613 Garland Place, and 4221 Roxbury Drive. Other companies securing multiple mechanical permits included Page Heating & Air, LLC for 2902 Country Club Drive and 3715 North Valdosta Road O; Crump Heating & Air for 2530 Jerry Jones Drive and 195 Johnson Lane; and Waller Heating and Air Conditioning for 711 South Lee Street and 1700 Norman Drive 1082B. Plumbing projects also saw substantial activity, with 13 permits recorded. Derek the Plumber received three plumbing permits, two of which were for 1700 Norman Drive 1082B and another for 122 McKey Street. Tison’s Plumbing & Drain Cleaning obtained a plumbing permit for 2125 Northwood Circle, in addition to two plan review permits. Tripp Howell Enterprises, LLC was issued two plumbing permits for 172 Audrey Lane and 5026 Cannon Drive. Johnson Plumbing received two plumbing permits for 11 Lavista Circle and 1012 Clifton Drive. Other plumbing permits were issued to Abbco Properties, LLC for 1207 Thomwal Street, Jenkins Plumbing Company for 3009 Wembley Circle, Thompson Plumbing for 848 South Lakeshore Drive, Manross Gas Works, LLC for 2306 Riverhill Drive, MVP Plumbing for 98 Garden Drive, Jones & Ebert, Inc. for 514 Brookdale Drive, Barfield Gas Company for 2610 Green Meadow Drive, and The Elite Plumber, LLC for 3254 Inner Perimeter Road. Jermaine Thomas also secured a plumbing permit for 829 Bethune Drive.

Electrical work also generated 12 permits across the county. Etheridge Electric, Inc. received two permits for 3105 Huntington Ridge Circle and 1718 Williams Street. Cowart Electric secured two electrical permits for 410 North Oak Street and 205 Tucker Road. Luke Electrical Contractors, LLC also obtained two electrical permits for 2711 Windemere Drive and 4387 Inner Perimeter Road A. Additional electrical permits were issued to Houser Investment Properties, LLC for 2312 Frederick Place, Valdosta Housing Authority for 9 Lavista Circle, Amsco, Inc. for 502 Sunnymead Drive, All Star Electrical Contractors, Inc. for 1330 Winding Ridge Circle, Bledsoe Electric, LLC for 2902 Country Club Drive, 1st Choice Electric for 210 East Main Street, and Carter Electric for 2601 Madison Highway. Jermaine Thomas also had an electrical permit for 829 Bethune Drive.

Roofing projects accounted for 10 permits. Bryant Roofing secured two roofing permits for 100 Beacon Hill and 210 West Cranford Avenue. Other roofing permits were issued to Ginger Williford for 3434 Burkardt Drive, American Roofing for 2208 Park Lane, Winnersville Roofing for 798 Lake Laurie Drive, Ricky Richardson for 702 Rogers Street, Tempest Roofing, LLC for 519 North St. Augustine Road, Skyfall Productions, LLC for 3320 Bellemeade Drive, Red Hills Roofing, LLC for 116 Varnadoe Street, and Williams Construction for 910 Williamsburg Drive.

Three demolition permits were also processed, signaling significant site preparation: Lorene Randolph for 904 South Fry and 906, 908 Street; TDC of Georgia, Inc. for 508 East Rogers Street; and Budd Properties for 1510 East Park Avenue.
