VALDOSTA – The sixth-ranked Valdosta Wildcats are set to host the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors tonight, Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8 p.m. The Wildcats, currently 3-0, are aiming for their third consecutive 4-0 start to the season under head coach Dr. Shelton Felton, with three games remaining before the start of region play.

Valdosta's offense has been potent through its first three games, averaging 54.7 points per game. Notably, the Wildcats have not scored a single point in the fourth quarter this season, as it has not been necessary due to significant leads. Last week, Valdosta matched last season’s achievement of three straight games with 50 points or more, defeating the Tigers of Bradwell Institute 56-13. The team put up 49 first-half points in that victory.

Against Bradwell Institute, Valdosta recorded 537 total yards, with 265 yards rushing and 272 yards passing. Key offensive contributors included Oregon State commit Deron Foster and Stanford commit Marquis Fennell, who combined for 255 yards and six touchdowns on the ground in the win. Senior quarterback Tripp Perry completed 9 of 12 passes for 181 yards, throwing both of his touchdowns to No. 1 receiver Jamarian Mingo. Mingo tallied 106 yards receiving, highlighted by a 65-yard touchdown strike on the third play from scrimmage.

Defensively, the Wildcats limited Bradwell Institute to just 150 total yards, seven first downs, and a 1 of 8 conversion rate on third downs. The Tigers were held to 90 rushing yards on 20 carries, with the Valdosta defense largely keeping them on their side of the 50-yard line throughout the game, apart from the two touchdowns conceded.

The visiting KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors enter tonight’s contest with a perfect 2-0 record. Competing in Region 5-AAA, the Warriors have not allowed a single point this season, boasting consecutive shutout victories. They defeated Landmark Christian 66-0 in Week 1 and KIPP College Prep 41-0.

KIPP Atlanta showcased a strong offensive performance in their Week 1 game against Landmark Christian, accumulating 536 total yards. Their quarterback duo, Dylan Favors and Lawrence Moreland, contributed significantly. Favors rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns, while Moreland completed 8 of 11 passes for 134 yards and added two total touchdowns in that game.

Tonight’s game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. kickoff. For those unable to attend, the game will be streamed on the NFHS Network. Radio coverage will be available on 95.7 FM, with Dr. Ron Reagin, Dirk Harrell, and Justin Crenshaw providing the call.
