Valwood School in Hahira celebrated its 2026 Homecoming last week, culminating in the crowning of Stanton Beverly as Homecoming King and Bryce Carter as Homecoming Queen on Friday. The week-long series of events brought together students, alumni, and families to foster school spirit, uphold traditions, and reinforce community pride within the Valwood School community.
Stanton Beverly, son of Corey and Kelli Beverly, was crowned Homecoming King during the Pep Rally held on Friday morning. Later that evening, during halftime of the Valiants’ football game, Bryce Carter was announced as Homecoming Queen. Bryce is the daughter of Josh and Jennifer Carter and has been a student at Valwood School since third grade. Both the pep rally and the football game served as focal points for the school’s annual celebration, drawing participation from various segments of the school’s population.
Looking ahead to their post-graduation plans, Stanton Beverly intends to pursue finance in college. Bryce Carter also plans to continue her education, with an aim to study business in college following her graduation from Valwood. Their recognition as Homecoming King and Queen highlights their involvement and standing within the Valwood School community as they prepare for their next steps.
The 2026 Homecoming Court included a diverse representation of students from all high school grade levels, reflecting the breadth of student involvement in the school's cherished annual events. The Freshman class was represented by Lila Houston, Natalie Marrero, Harrison Griner, and Miller Turner. The Sophomore class court members included Elizabeth Booth, Anna Kate Carter, Annalee Studstill, Holt Folsom, Brycen Wetherington, and Frank Woodall. Representing the Junior class on the Homecoming Court were Grace Godbee, Hobby Houston, Mason Corbett, and Michael Drumhelller. Finally, the Senior class, in addition to King Stanton Beverly and Queen Bryce Carter, saw Charlotte Holloway, Anne Harvey Shaw, Evan Schert, and Bo Shenton named to the court. These individuals participated in the festivities, contributing to the overall atmosphere of school spirit and community engagement throughout the Homecoming week. The events underscored Valwood School's commitment to its long-standing traditions and provided a moment for collective celebration for everyone connected to the school.
